Frequently Asked Questions
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time from your dashboard. When upgrading, you're prorated for the remainder of your billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the next billing date. No data is lost during a plan change.
What happens if I exceed my bandwidth?
On the Community plan, your mirror pauses until the next calendar month — no overage charges. Team and Enterprise plans include a 10% bandwidth buffer before throttling kicks in. Enterprise customers can negotiate hard caps or burst allowances with their account engineer.
Is my data stored in Germany?
All Community and Team plan data resides in our Frankfurt-1 and Frankfurt-2 facilities (operated by Hetzner Online). Enterprise customers can deploy on-premise or choose a secondary region (Munich, Amsterdam) as part of their SLA agreement. All storage is encrypted at rest with AES-256.
Do you offer academic or nonprofit discounts?
Yes — we offer a 50% discount on Team plans for verified nonprofits, universities, and research institutions. Contact us at partners@codesync.dev with your organization details to get started.
